Using Windows Run

The Run feature is available on the start menu.

You can use it to start programs that don’t have an icon on your desktop.

Simply type its name in the open field or browse for it.

In Windows Vista and 7 there is not a Run button, but you can simply type in the run command in the box provided.

It is useful for troubleshooting.

Try typing in these useful commands:

cmd to get a command prompt

msinfo32 to get system information

regedit or regedt32 to edit registry
